Where we sell

We offer our maple syrup in a variety of place in the Peterborough, Ontario area. We have been attending the Peterborough Farmers market for over 30 years. We supply local grocery stores, coffee bars, and gift shops in the area.

About us

Staples maple syrup started with a long history, dating back to Ireland but our story started with Robert Staples in Cavan Ontario. Robert began making syrup with his father in the 1960's in a cast iron pot in their front yard. As Robert grew so did his passion for making maple syrup.  

After winter when the days become above freezing we take sap from approximately 3400 maple trees to boil down, as it takes about 30 to 40 liters of sap to produce 1 liter of maple syrup. We also make maple butter, maple sugar and maple candy.

Our high quality maple syrup has won the world champion at the Royal winter fair 4 times.
